WRAP UP AUGUST

 Hello, everybody. Here I am, back after the summer hiatus. How did your holidays go? Mine quite reading off to be honest, so expect kind of different posts from now on until I can feel like reading more often again.

I did not have the best start of the month, actually, but somehow, it kind of reflects on the books I read last month somehow. A few days ago, I learned about the passing of a dear professor of mine, of my whole class actually, and of all my Faculty. The oddest thing was that it struck me so hard because he was young and literally, such news was unexpected for everybody. He was such a good teacher, but an even better person, that his sudden departure has left us shocked. Has left me shocked. Up until now, All the deaths I have been mourning were caused by old age or cancer, so even though I had a hard time with those, they were something to be expected and, sooner or later, one ends up finding some comfort in knowing that the other person is not suffering anymore. But I think this is my first encounter with sudden death in a relatively young person I have been working with. A person that I knew, respected and I was truly fond of. 

Precisely, the two books I have read last month were a book concerning a bit the topic of death and a biography full of kindness, fun tips and teachings about the fact that you can always try to improve your life even when you are going through hell. And my professor was one of the kindest souls one can be fortunate enough to have met. So, to him, I dedicate this TBR.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Hello everybody! This post is just a quick announcement: For the rest of the month of August, I will be taking a hiatus, since I am quite busy at the moment writing stuff and to be honest, I find myself with little energy to read because of the hot temperatures. Hence I have decided to take some time and prepare more content for you guys because I have a few book tags I could use but zero ideas on how to answer them.

As for what I am writing, I have currently two projects I am working on plus other two; one as a new project and another as an unfinished novel, hence why I am so exhausted and I started to worry about not being able to give you good content, so I am going to focus on that plus taking care of myself and rest for the remaining holidays.

¡Hola! Espero que estés muy bien al otro lado de la pantalla. Por mi parte, para cuando leas esto ya habré cumpido un año más, pero bueno, el cambio de mes al menos trae contenido alejado de posibles crisis existenciales que la edad trae consigo, así que, aquí os dejo con mis tres lecturas del mes: dos en español y otra e inglés, esta última, de un género que no suelo leer mucho: biografía. Como al fin y al cabo los tres libros tienen algo de relación con el paso del tiempo, que mejor conexión que sumar años a la vida y leer sobre otras, ¿verdad?

MI BATALLA CON LOS AUDIOLIBROS (Té con Nat #2)

 ¡Hola! De nuevo te doy las gracias por pasarte una semana más, lo que tiene más mérito todavía en esta época de veraneo.

Precisamente, creo que es durante esta estación cuando más prolifera el formato del que voy a hablar. Siendo honestos, es mucho más fácil llevar tu lectot y tus audiolibros a cualquier sitio que un libro y estos últimos son más apetecibles de escuchar ahora porque, presumiblemente, se tiene más tiempo, aunque sé que muchos los escucháis mientras se hacen las tareas del hogar.

GOODREADS TBR: TO READ OR NOT TO READ?

 Hi there! As always, thank you for stopping by another Friday. I hope your summer is going well and you are enjoying your time with a book if you can. I am, although I confess that I go slower than I thought due to the hot temperatures, which seem to have affected my brain a little bit because I read only at times and I get easily tired. Nevertheless, the book is pretty juicy, for it's a biography, so... You'll know more about it in the wrap-up entry next month.

Speaking of books and feeling kinda slow, the other day I revisited my Goodreads to-be-read shelf and realiased that some of the books I have there, well, I do not feel like reading them at least for now.

RESUMEN LECTURAS JUNIO (WRAP UP JUNE)

 Buenas. ¿Cómo lleváis el verano lector? En mi caso, voy un poco lenta, la verdad. Estoy escribiendo varias cosas, ocupada en otras y entre eso y el calor, por mucho que lo lleve bien, pues no me concentro mucho leyendo y sólo le dedico huecos que tengo programados para ello, así que, que no os extrañe si en mi siguiente resumen sólo encontráis dos lecturas como mucho.

En este, son tres y sólo una en español, así que empezaré por esa y luego cambiaré a inglés para hablar de las otras porque me temo que sólo una está disponible en castellano.  Recordad que la disponibilidad de compra de los libros está enlazada a su portada.

 En fin, allá vamos:
